Originally from Kyle of Lochalsh, Claire graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 2006 with a BA (hons) in painting. She moved back to the Skye and Lochalsh area in 2013 where she currently lives.

"As a keen hill walker the joy of being in nature is what inspires me to paint. From the ever-changing light upon the hills to waves crashing against the shore. I like to take my paints out into the landscape and try to capture the uniqueness of the moment. Small paintings are done from life, with bigger pieces painted in the studio"
